If you got this link sent to you, it is because your student is ineligible for Solo & Ensemble competition. In order to compete in band competitions, your student MUST pass every class on the previous Six Weeks report card. So, for this competition, it would have been your 3rd Six Weeks. On that report card, your student failed at least one class. So, they have not been scheduled for Solo & Ensemble Contest. Also, the $15 Piano fee has been erased from their account, so there is no need to pay it. If you have already paid it, it will be credited to your account and you can use it for anything else this year. To make up their grade for the contest, they will play their solo for me next week. I will grade them on their performance as the Solo judge would have. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me or call me. Thanks, Mike Major Monday

I can't believe that Winter Break is over. It seemed to go so fast! Here are some highlights as we come back for the Spring Semester.
Instruments & Lockers Some of you have been carrying your band instruments with you all day long. There have been complaints from teachers. So, starting on Monday, you will not be allowed to carry your instrument with you all day long. It will need to come to put it in your locker. This will NOT excuse you from being tardy. If you are late to 1st period because of putting you instrument in your band locker, it will be counted as a tardy. So, be at school about 5 - 10 minutes early to make sure that you have plenty of time. Chairs In an attempt to try and make the band set up better, we are trying an experiment. Underneath the left leg of every chair that is set up in the band hall, there is a small piece of velcro. When you leave class for the day, please make sure that the left leg of your chair is still on that piece of velcro. That way, we can keep the rows right and everybody should have enough space. Money Here is a list of any money that will be due this semester so that you can plan for the upcoming end of the year
